CONSTRUCTION

You will realize substantial cost savings over the long-term with our energy efficient designs including R21 insulated 2x6 exterior walls with insulated headers and corners, roof framing with reflective sheathing and R38 attic insulation.
Obtain the rigidity, strength and durability of a concrete slab with a full 3/8” rebar matte to prevent heaving (uneven surfaces), full shear panels installed on all exterior walls and roof along with a guaranteed moisture content of 19% or less in the wood framing at the time the framing is covered.
Your new dream home will be level, clean and straight  for many years as a result of the low moisture content of your framing. You will also find engineered wood products used throughout. These state of the art building products are composites made with renewable resources that provide you with superior strength, superior insulation, lower noise and they don’t warp or shrink!

Your new home will have  a very quiet interior due to the thicker 5/8 inch sheetrock used on all walls. This gives you a solid, stronger feel with less noise.

EXTERIOR WALL COVERING

Roofing

You will benefit from the use of long-lasting fire-retardant CertainTeed Landmark Series dimensional thirty-year asphalt composition shingles for aesthetic appeal with good value.

Your new roof can account for as much as 40% of your home’s exterior so many factors affect your choice of materials.  Some surfaces are more beautiful than others, offer greater resilience or endurance or are more affordable.  Only the asphalt shingle excels in all these areas.

Now accounting for about 80% of the residential roof surfacing in the United States, asphalt shingles are measured against a variety of standards that evaluate fire and wind resistance, tear strength, and other key performance indicators.  For fiber glass shingles, ASTM D3462 is considered the most important. This comprehensive standard covers tear strength, nail-pull resistance and pliability, among other shingle characteristics. Over 20 CertainTeed fiber glass shingles are independently certified by Underwriters Laboratories to meet the tough ASTM D3462 standard.1

You additionally have available a host of environmentally friendly roofing types, including light weight cement composites that look like wood,  recycled-tire slate-look shingles, metal or tile and others.

WINDOWS

Save money, improve comfort and enjoy the view with your new single-hung Milguard SunCoat dual-pane vinyl windows, guaranteed for life.2 Your windows include low emissivity (Low-E) glass. This microscopically thin coating filters the sun's energy in the summer and reduces heat loss in the winter, making your energy bills substantially lower. INTERIOR TRIM

Your new home will include top quality high profile 5” base and 2 1/2” casings. All window openings include a 4–way wood wrap for durability and aesthetics superior to plain sheetrock finishes.
Doors are raised two panel hollow core for a true panel look with the functionality and durability of composite materials.
All your trim is painted semi-gloss with Zero or Low VOC paint in the same color as the walls providing all the benefits listed below.
Your master bedroom, dining room, and living room ceilings all utilize crown molding and dropped ceilings for a touch of class and luxury. All corners are rounded giving you better durability and a softer more luxurious look and feel.

INTERIOR PAINT

Your interior air quality will be greatly improved by the use of Zero or Low VOC paint on all interior walls.
Bathroom, and kitchen walls and ceilings are painted semi-gloss, all remaining walls and ceilings are painted flat “Swiss Coffee” or “Navajo White”. All doors and trim are painted semi-gloss in the same colors.

The Benefits of Zero and Low VOC paints include:

  • Environment – Reduces contaminants in landfill, groundwater and atmosphere.

CABINETS

Providing you with durability and long life all of your cabinets will have white melamine interiors with concealed self closing hinges (EuroStyle) with ¾ inch thick construction.
Your cabinets are low off-gassing to preserve your indoor air quality, are chemical resistant and easy to clean.
All of your upper and base cabinets have adjustable shelves with white “deco-form” foil-wrapped raised-panel doors for ease of use and aesthetic appeal. Either knotty or clear alder are also available at no extra charge. Of course your wood cabinets will be coated with a natural finish again using low or zero VOC sealer.

TILE

Your new home will have all tile or carpet floors, no vinyl. Tile is one of the best all around floor coverings available. Your tile floors will be tough and durable exhibiting a host of benefits for you including:

Granite is quarried in blocks and then milled whereas quartz is a composite of mined quartz crystal.
